our story

Dreamwriters was started out of the frustration of its founder, a 20-year marketing professional who was searching for ways to overcome a creative slump in her career.

Inspired by her love of drawing and writing with her two young daughters, she decided to start Dreamwriters, a creative writing platform for young creative writers and artists.

The platform connects both timid writers and aspiring authors alike with the work of talented illustrators, gives them a voice, and publishes real books with their stories.

So whether their tales start 10,000 leagues under the sea or on sweltering asphalt streets, we aim to create a place where kids of all ages can tell their stories without fear.

mission

To spark the writer in you and delight the world with your stories.

core values

Storytelling

Unleash the beast! We strive to inspire and let the imagination soar. We believe everyone is creative and should have the chance to tell their stories.

Whimsical

At the core of our creativity is the dreamer in all of us. This sense of unhindered playfulness is what keeps our inner child inspired.

Empowerment

Fear is a rocky and treacherous cliff. We are a safe haven for amateur writers to find their footing as they explore the world of creative writing.

Optimism

We value positivity and believe it is the key to unlocking everyone’s potential.

Plot
The protagonist and leader of the Dreamwriters. Plot is one of the first things people share when telling a story. It usually stems from peculiar events or small adventures in our lives. Therefore, Plot is an adventurous child, eager to explore.
Klash
Plot's older brother. Much like most sibling relationships, the two enjoy a friendly rivalry. While tough and outspoken, Klash also has good intentions. Using conflict, he pushes a story forward, makes it more engaging, and teaches along the way.
Glyphie
As a more advanced technique in writing, Glyphie is older and more mature than Plot and Klash. Normally found with her head stuck in a book, she gives writers a different way to express their thoughts through symbolism.
Mr. Atlas
The wise mentor of the group and made up of all the different elements of our world. Whether it is by a desk or on a different planet, he helps you navigate through the story and get immersed in any scenario.
SeeSee
SeeSee can be a playful yet understanding companion. She has three eyes which helps her to see a story from a first-, second- or third-person POV. You can count on her to empathize with different characters and situations.
Gus
Small but mighty, Gus, can be hard to spot at times. Like themes, his presence is as mighty as the gossamer thread he weaves through each story.
Clay
He's tall, he's short, he's fat, he's thin, he's...jelly?! Clay is an actor and a shape shifter, capable of transforming into the figment of any writer's imagination.
